How does teeth whitening work?

Teeth whitening typically involves the use of a bleaching agent that breaks down and removes stains on the enamel, resulting in a brighter smile. We use a 24K gold whitening gel that has stronger whitening effects and benefits for your oral health. Using a LED Whitening machine, you will get receive our in-office treatment while you lay down allowing the gel to penetrate your teeth. 

Is teeth whitening safe?

Teeth whitening is a very safe and effective treatment. Even if you suffer from teeth sensitivity, you are able to receive our service as it is very gentle on the teeth. 

What are the side effects of teeth whitening?

 Majority of clients do not suffer from any side effects. However, it is not uncommon to see white spots on the teeth which temporary due to the lack of hydration in the enamel. You also will have to follow the after care to get the best results.

How white will my teeth get?

 The extent of whitening varies among individuals, but professional treatments can significantly improve the brightness of your teeth. You can get up to 9 shades whiter in one session.

Can I whiten my teeth if I have dental restorations?

Teeth whitening is most effective on natural teeth, and it may not lighten the color of dental restorations. Your dentist can provide guidance on options for stained restorations.

Will I experience pain with teeth whitening?

Typically, you will not experience pain. However those with severe teeth sensitivity  may experience mild pain, the overall whitening process itself is not painful. It is a great time for you unwind by taking a nap and wake up to a brighter smile.

Is teeth whitening covered by dental insurance?

 Teeth whitening is consider a cosmetic service. Therefore, it is not covered under dental insurance typically. We do not take insurance as payment.

How often can I whiten my teeth?

We offer two in-office treatments you can choose from: 30 minute sessions or 60 minute sessions. The longer the session, the better effects of the whitening gel. However, it is best to receive multiple sessions to get optimal results. You just have to wait at least 14 days between treatments. 

Am I a good candidate for teeth whitening?

You are a suitable candidate for our teeth whitening service as long as you are 18 years old, in good overall oral health, and currently not pregnant or nursing. Although our whitening gel does not cause sensitivity, it is best for you not have severe tooth sensitivity. Unfortunately, teeth whitening is not suitable for those with crowns or veneers as the whitening effects will not have the same impact. 

How to prepare for your appointment:

In order to get the best results that are lasting with our teeth whitening service , then you should do the following:

1 Week Before:

  • Floss and brush daily ​

  • Coconut oil pull for 10 min daily 

  • Get dental checkup if need be

3 Days Before:

  • Reduce consumption of coffee, tea, wine and tobacco 

  • Drink plenty of water 

  • Daily oral care 

Day of Appointment:

  • Avoid eating and/or smoking 1 hour prior 

  • Wear comfortable clothing 

What to do after your appointment:

Although results are immediate, it is best to follow the following after care instructions to reduce side effects and get optimal results:

During First Week After:

  • Minimize eating or drinking products that are prone to stain teeth (coffee, tea, wine, tobacco etc) 

  • Avoid eating or drinking 60 minutes after 

  • Drink plenty of water 

  • Maintain oral hygiene 

  • Book follow up session (touch-ups are discounted)
