What is the hyaluron pen?

What is the difference between the hyaluron pen and traditional needle lip filler?

While both methods use hyaluronic acid fillers, the hyaluron pen may offer a more gradual buildup of volume, contributing to natural-looking results. Also, the hyaluron pen is a better option if you are scared of needles or don’t want to experience much pain during your service.

How does the hyaluron pen work without needles?

The hyaluron pen works by using a spring-loaded device that creates a high-pressure jet to inject hyaluronic acid fillers into the skin. Will the lip filler treatment be painful?

What type of filler will be injected?

Hyaluronic acid is the most commonly used filler for lip augmentation. It is a natural substance found in the body, particularly in the skin, connective tissues, and eyes. In lip fillers, hyaluronic acid provides volume and hydration, resulting in plumper and more defined lips. Lip filler is designed to be temporary and can be adjusted or reversed if needed. 

How long does the lip filler last?

Results vary among individuals, but the effects of hyaluronic acid fillers typically last several months. Maintenance treatments may be recommended for long-term results. On average, clients retain their desired results 8 months.  However, it is best to get. touch up every 3 to 4 months to maintain desired shape and size. 

How soon will I see the results?

While you will see immediate results after your treatment, the full effects will develop over a short period as the hyaluronic acid settles and integrates with the skin. Typically, it takes at least 2 weeks for the filler to metabolize and the side effects to go away to determine final results. 

Am I a good candidate for lip filler?

As long as you are 18 years and older, not currently pregnant or nursing, or have any autoimmune diseases, then you are eligible to receive lip filler. It is best to have good overall health to avoid heavy side effects and see lasting results. 

How to prepare for your appointment:

In order to get the best results that and to reduce the side effects associated with getting lip filler, then you should do the following:

1 Week Before:

  • Avoid blood thinning medication

    •  Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, etc

  • Avoid supplements

    • St John’s Wart, Gingko blob, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng etc.

  • Avoid skin sensitizing products

    • Tretinion, Retin-A, Retinols, Glycolic Acid, etc

3 Days Before:

  • Avoid drinking alcohol ​

  • Avoid consuming caffeine

  • Take arnica pills 

  • Drink pineapple juice

  • ​Drink plenty of water 

  • Eat Vitamin K rich foods 

    • Spinach, Kale, Celery etc.

Day of Appointment:

  • No heavy exercise before or after service

  • Come with no makeup on lips 

  • Have your lip goals in mind 

    • Using pictures or screenshots with filters help​

  • Bring ID to verify age if you're a first time client

What to do after your appointment:

Although results are immediate, it is best to follow the following after care instructions to reduce side effects and to retain the filler better:

During 24 Hours After:

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, tanning, pools, steam rooms 

  • Keep drinking plenty of water ​

  • Take arnica pills or apply topical arnica gel ​

  • Avoid excessive touching or picking 

  • Avoid ​applying makeup for the first 12 hours 

  • Avoid drinking alcohol 

  • Apply lip balm 

    • A&D, Aquaphor, Lanolin Cream, Vaseline etc​

During First 3 Days After:

  • No using straws or kissing 

  • Massage once a day after the first 24 hours

  • Continuing take arnica pills or cream if bruising or swelling  

  • Continuing drinking plenty of water â€‹â€‹

During 1st Week After:

  • Continue to massage once per day to avoid lumps and bumps 

  • Stay hydrated by drinking water

  • Book next session if you desire more volume 

    • Day 7 is typically when you can see your final results to decide how much filler to get next 

Touch up prices are available for 4 months after your last session. The soonest you are able to get your next session for 14 days after. Although the side effects will be gone typically by Day 7, the filler still needs to metabolize.
